Hey everybody!!!

Things are going so freaking great here I'm loving the life of a missionary like always. I had such a good week I'm still in awe!!! So you know how we are focused on less actives so this week we had a big breakthrough with that after so many weeks of trying we not only got almost all the ones we have focused on at church we got more. We had 10 LA's at church yesterday you can describe the happiness that I felt yesterday I was so freaking happy it was so awesome. Most of the LA's we had at church yesterday were ones that we have really been focusing on its so freaking awesome. We were happy elders yesterday I can tell you that WAHOO!!!

Sounds like everyone is so happy now since that Addy graduated HOLY CRAP!!! Noahs done with elementary school HOLY CRAP!!!, and Ed is still going strong with all that he is doing HOLY CRAP!!! Sounds like fun you broke your pinkie toe hahahaahah that suckss. Hey weird that people are actually asking you how I'm doing just tell them to freaking write me 2 times I have received mail and its always just one letter :( Malungkot na ako talaga!!!, but they are letters from Brother Dewey Ray so I'm still pretty happy about that hes such an awesome person. Yep no work for MAMA for now just gonna do some nice old cleaning yea same old same old, always gotta love summer cleaning hahahaah. So this week we had interviews with President DeLaMare as well as Sister DeLaMare, and our AP's Elder Frost and Elder Lerma. So in my interview President DeLaMare told me that in the next couple of transfers he said that I shouldn't be surprised if I get called to train a new elder AHHHHH!!!!! It would be sweet though, it definitely wont happen next transfer though since they only have 2 elders coming in both of them, Filipino so we will see, but more than likely ill be going this transfer to another area, but if I do say what the helk I love this area, but I also do really want to go to Mindoro SO MUCH!!! I'm getting kinda of sick of the city, but it is a great place to start. So anyways other than what I have already told you I'm loving life and as always eating crazy stuff again and again. This week I get a rare opportunity indeed I get to eat something that is called a SEA CENTIPEDE!!! ANO BA YAN!!! So yea pretty excited to eat that hahahaah. I love you guys and have fun with everything you do now that schools gone.

Elder Thompson

Dear Mother,
All is well, I'm loving the life here in the Philippines its so amazing to be able to be a part to do the Lord's work here in this great country. I still have vitamins yes and everyday I take them, the yuckiness is gone never have really had that kinda stuff, and yes I always have a water bottle on me if I don't I go and buy one don't want to pass out huh? I was just tired cause I got out of district meeting that's why hahahaah! I haven't felt sick for a while sure I have the runs just a little bit of times, but that's just a regular thing. With baptisms we don't have any really right now we have one soon, but its after the transfer and well I think I'm going to leave here 3 transfers is a long time hahaha, but its up to the Lord not me so I honestly don't care. Kevin Blaza has a baptismal date set for June 9th so we will see how that goes he didn't come to church for a couple of weeks so we started  the count over again. We are having a hard time here with investigators, but with less-actives being reactivated we are doing great. Last transfer the family that me and Elder Acera found Rowel through was actually a less-active family now they are active and I'm so happy to see them every Sunday come to church they are so happy I LOVE IT!!! We had a lot of less-actives at church yesterday I was so happy its just another great week as a missionary.

HOLY CRAP two missionaries in the Kennewick Washington mission that's freaking awesome. Maybe Preston will train him as a missionary hahahaahah. That's so cool I'm really happy for them and all the work that's going. I'm also happy hes going on a mission its such a great decision I love it here. Oh Tia Rosas what such great food miss that a lot, but I definitely do love rice now hahahahah. Everyday RICE WAHOO!!! Definitely have developed a love for rice here its actually not that bad once you eat it every day. I have learned some recipes here so be ready for that one of them Bicol Express is very spicy so maybe just Dad and me will do that one, its really BLAZING HOT!!, but so freaking good. Buko juice too, buko is a young coconut and what they do is cut it open and drink the juice, so GOOD!!! Just loving the life here in the Philippines, Tagalog as well is coming along well I wouldn't say I'm fluent, but I have got a lot of compliments, but don't let those get to my head keep studying. I actually just finished the Book of Mormon, and so I started reading the New Testament, many missionaries say it helps here to know that dahil many people here are fervent in believing the Bible and just that. Also found a good way to use cross references in my teaching so that I can use the Book of Mormon along with the Bible for people to be more willing to listen. I also finally got to go to province sort of. I went on exchanges with Elder Cortezano, my district leader's companion, and my district leader, Elder Taurabakai, who is surprisingly from Carabas, the place where Hudson and Jackson are originally from I think don't really know, just think. It was so nice and cool it was awesome. So that's another week of the life of Elder Thompson here in the Quezon City Philippines mission. I love you all so much and one reminder to tell everybody and I MEAN EVERYBODY!!! That the new address in my mission is what they want to write to not the other one cause the office couples will stop going there and I might not receive some letters don't want that do we now.

NEW ADDRESS:
Elder Jordan Scott Thompson
Philippines Quezon City Mission
Aurora Blvd. Corner. JP Rizal St.
Project 4, Cubao
Quezon City 1109, Metro Manila, Philippines

Make sure everybody knows about this its important so you along with Addy put that on your facebooks so that literally everyone sees.

I love you all, so much and also the opportunity to talk to you all, and make that amazing face that I can do hahahaah.

Mahal kita,
Elder Thompson

Skyped, and spiked for those that understand that, with Elder Thompson on Mothers Day and we took a picture of him during our conversation.  It was good to see and talk to him nearly real time. We had some delay and the microphone and camera he was using at the internet cafe were archaic at best.  No bluetooth? whats up with that? thats weird. Anyway good to see him and see he is still of good spirits and still DOING THE WORK!

Dear Mother,

I'm loving life so much it is going so freaking awesome here. I love my life here in the Philippines its going so stinking good, we did though have a pretty hard week this week. Like last transfer we have a great time getting punted from people. It is going so awesome here though I love being a missionary even though I do get the things that I do. I do not have any pics of the National Day of Service I'm sorry I didn't bring my camera. First of all, cause its charging so that was a hindi pwede. Sorry talaga its just been very crazy here again I'm leading the area we just need to keep going and keep trying our hardest. Even though we didn't get a lot of lessons in I still felt like we gave it are all and that is what we need to feel to be able to know we are great missionaries. We may have a baptism on the 19th of May, but not entirely sure, Kevin Blaza, he was not able to come to church this week and the week before, but what we want to figure out is if he still can on the 19th because of the first time he wasn't able to go to church was because of that his house was filled with smoke and his parents needed his help with things so he wasn't able to, but really wanted to go to church. So we will talk to President DeLaMare about the situation and see if we can still continue with his baptism on the 19th. I will be calling on Monday, because we are not allowed to skype only on Mondays, because we have to pay for stuff in the shop and well that's a hindi pwede ulit. Ill be calling as soon as I get out of district meeting so around 11 o clock my time so yea don't know what time that is your time, but I know its early hahahaha. Its the only time that I can call you so be prepared for that. I love you guys and miss you all tons endure to end its the best thing that you can do, by the way I have received letters, but not in big amounts maybe like 2or 3 every 2 weeks that's when we get mail, but its been a while since I last got mail maybe 3 weeks now because of transfer meeting. Next week I should get some though, I remember I still haven't got the package from Aunt Kara that you guys said was coming a long time ago. I love all of you so much and all that you have done for me.

Dear Mother,

HOLY CRAP!!! Its already happened hahahahaah oopsy :) I have already forgot birthdays wow looks like I'm just losing it. Ive been so busy I'm sorry hahaha. So its going so great I have another new companion yep I'm keeping the streak going hahahah a new companion every transfer yea its been working out so far hahahaah. So my new companion is Elder Braind, so whats so cool is that he has been out for a while and guess what hes from somewhere else other than America and Philippines hahaahah weird huh. My new companion is from the Marshall Islands haahahahahah yea how cool huh? Hes a really good missionary and hes kinda of just like Elder Acera so I'm pretty happy cause those are the kind of comps that I want.

So this week we had a lot of stuff go down, first of all we got to see our new companions, I got to see all of my old district from the MTC: Elder McDonald, Elder Stallings, and Elder Brown. It looks like they are all doing so very good and they are loving the life of the missionary like I am. Hey sounds like you guys are having a good time going to Cafe Rio without me:( I miss that food SO MUCH!!!, but the food here is pretty freaking good so I'm pretty happy. So now its time to go and do work again with another new companion, hes very cool and is pretty good at English, along with Tagalog and lets not forget his native language, Marshallese, which by the way I tried trying to understand, yea I think my head was about to explode, it was so confusing, that's why I'm glad I'm just learning Tagalog, which by the way is coming very well slowly, but surely. Slow and steady wins the race. I had a very good week, no one in my district in the MTC has still not gone out to Mindoro, but everyone in my district are district leaders, and trainers. I'm happy I haven't done it yet, I don't want power until I get chosen, but I still had to mess with the district from the MTC and say since they have all trained and are DL's I said ill be the chosen one from the district to go to Mindoro. Yea they didn't like that hahaha, but it was funny, and will be even more if I actually do go. By the way Elder Butler that was my housemate in my first 2 transfers, just came off Mindoro, and I remember how white he was when he went there, and now I seriously say hes gone Filipino, hes so tan. Tell everyone from back home I love them and miss them all its so great to able to hear from them. Just like them I love you mother and miss you so much I hope that you guys are happy from the sound of things you are, so keep going. I love you guys and miss you all tons.

Elder Thompson

 Dear Mother,

This week wasssss ssssoooo awessssooommmee!!!! I loved this week so much I had another baptism. So first of all our mission's mailing address has changed so that's the first thing that I will tell you. New mail address: C/O Philippines Quezon City, Aurora Blvd. Corner JP Rizal St. Project 4, Cubao, Quezon City Metro Manila, Philippines. So if you can tell everyone that this is the new address and if they want to send anything that's what they are going to need to to send anything to me.

So this week was so awesome, I love my companion so much you really cant say how much I love this guy. This transfer has probably been the hardest transfer in my whole mission, along with my first mission transfer in the field. I have had so many changes this transfer it has been the hardest, but along with those challenges comes those blessings if we continue in our challenges and overcome them. This transfer has probably been the transfer that changes my whole mission and Elder Acera is the companion that changes my mission, yes may say they don't have a big impact on us as Americans many elders here say, but I have evidence they are just like us just different backgrounds. They just have a different culture that's so different from ours, but this transfer I have learned that if I just adopt their culture it will be so much easier if we just do it. One of my new most favorite quotes here in the mission "ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS" I love this quote it has a been a big eye opener. With these actions come the blessings "After so much tribulation then comes the blessings" D&C 58:4-5. One of my blessings a opportunity to bring another one of his children to the gospel. The baptism was so awesome we had so many people there we also had another baptism in our ward along with him, the other Elders Elder Esteves and Wilde, such a great day. I was able to speak at the baptism about well baptism, it was weird I actually spoke in good Tagalog  with the Spirit you really can do anything. Then the next day on Sunday we were able to see Rowel be confirmed and they gave us the opportunity to be part of the circle to give him the Holy Ghost, me and Elder Acera, when we took our hands off he had the biggest smile on his face and his face glowed so much it really made me so happy. Like all leaders of our church say the greatest joy you can really feel is bring one of those of his children to the gospel. ITS SO TRUE!! These feeling you really cannot express they are so powerful. I also got to speak in church with Elder Wilde, and Elder Acera, on guess what? The Holy Ghost weird huh? When Rowel was baptized I spoke on baptism and when he is confirmed I speak on the Holy Ghost. Great week and I look forward to the rest. So along with your questions I'm not transferring so I will be able to stay, but sad news though my time with Elder Acera is going to be cut short he going to be transferred, I'm pretty freaking sad, but it is what the Lord wants. So tomorrow I get another new companion wow this is going to be number 6 for me in the field and my streak is still going. New companion every transfer streak still going strong uhhh!!!

So along with that that's whats been going on this week I love you mother and mga kapatid ko mahal ko kayo at namiss ko kayo. ( my siblings, I love and miss you)
