Dear Wonderful Mother of Mine!!

Hey everyone another great week gone by!!! So much that I was able to learn this week, we had our last zone conference with President DeLaMare it was an amazing time to be able to see him for a last time and get a good last picture with him and his wife and son, Ben!! It is very sad to see that man go home, he has influenced my mission in so many ways and has been a big help in me overcoming my mission challenges!! Really going to miss him and his family they have become what we call other family. I have enjoyed the time that I have had to be under his direction and see the great ideas he has for helping the mission and the work continue forward as it says in the prophecy in Daniel 2:44-45. It shall cover the whole earth and not one person shall not be given the chance to hear the gospel's great song!!! It has been such a great influence in my life as a advocate for the Lord!!! Loved this week and have seen such a great progression with the ward that I am in, it has literally done a complete 360 since the last time that I was assigned here in the ward. So many of the youth have been so willing to give their time to be a influence in this ward. Also some great news, one of the less-actives that I started teaching here when I was last here with Elder Braind well he has been making great progression, he was married to his wife and now they were also called as ward missionaries, also they are going to be able to go through the temple and be sealed together as an eternal family. So excited for him!!! It has been a year, but what has happened, he now is going to be sealed and get his endowments!! So happy to have been an influence in his life!!! Anyways also with that we have been making progression with our investigators, who are close to being baptized into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!! THE WORK IS SO AMAZING!!!!

So question time, with that Mom I think you could send the money to the name of my companion, Elder Sanico who has an id here. To honestly say how much I would need I would probably say about 6,000 pesos, but it is up to you if you think that is enough or not!! Just so you know if you think it is a good idea to do that!! If we can use this it would be easier since he is Filipino and always has an id with him from here and I have mine from US, also he has done this before with some of his other American companions. It is effective promise, but it is really up to you guys too!!! Anyways give those 2 sons of guns a big hug from me, hahaha but tell them it is going to be bigger when I actually hug them!!, but still a time away from that!! Also got my flight plans so you guys should be receiving that soon here, I'm going through Tokyo, then Portland, Oregon then straight to Phoenix from there!!! Anyways you'll see when you receive the itinerary too you guys will understand more!!! Man this week has been crazy during the zone conference last Thursday got to see almost all of my old companions it was awesome to snatch some pics with them as well and just any of the missionaries that I have been able to be very close with!! Don't worry about me getting trunky I think you guys are more trunky than I am!!! The work goes on and that means its time to go and do a great and marvelous work again and don't stop or life what one of our stake presidency said; RUNNN!! YOU RUNNN when your on your mission, don't walk, RUNNNNNNN!!! There is so many people still waiting for us to give them that chance that Heavenly Father has given to each of us to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ!!! Love you all!!!

Dear Wonderful Mother of Mine,

Hey how is everything going there in the heat?? Everything is going  so great here in this area, we had just the biggest breakthrough this week with the ward. This has been a very hard area for anyone that has been here in this area. We had such a breakthrough. Me and Elder Sanico, have been working and praying that the ward will help us and participate in missionary work!! Guess what happened this week, we have a lot of the youth participate in missionary work, we had a lot of the potential missionaries work with us, as well as James Vinoya, our biggest focus on going on a mission. He has been called to be the WML as well as 2nd Councilor in the YM, and he has been doing that calling so well!! We have a lot of youth now willing to even give us their time to work with us even if it is a short time. Also this week we had temple tour this last Saturday and we brought a lot of people, we had specifically the focus members or less-actives and our investigators with baptismal dates!!! with that we had a less-active it was her 2nd time only to go to the temple. She then the day after went to the bishop and asked what she can do to be endowed in the temple. It was awesome to see, just by attending the temple and partaking of the Spirit that resides there at the temple. Now she has a calling as a ward missionary and meets with us when we have our weekly coordination meeting with them!!! It has been an amazing week to be totally serious with everything.

So ya to start things off just want to say HAPPY FATHER"S DAY to everyone over there that has is a father love all of you!!! Good to know that Preston and Tanner are coming home give them a big hug from me miss those guys a ton!!! Yea don't count those days you still got a lot of time left before I come home sorry!! With the questions um, the money is going to be a problem because I actually lucked out cause the lady at Western Union, was awesome. I need to have my passport if I want to get any money from Western Union, so yea it is going to be a problem with that!!! Give you something to think about!! I don't know what I can do with that kind of stuff!!! For now still think about that!! Anyways I love life there really is no problem, we are doing our best everyday and the blessings our sure in our front!! Love you all, also received the letter from Tess Thomas, going to write her back, so be ready for that huh?? Love you all!!

June 10,2013

Dear Wonderful Mother of Mine,

Hey all is well the work of the Lord is moving forward and I love being an influence in people's lives!!! It has been such a blessing to be a missionary for the Lord. I really have enjoyed every moment of my mission. Even though it has been hard to adjust to all the changes in these 2 small years. I have seen such a big change in my life and all the great things that have come from serving the Lord!! Great experience this week, since last time I received that letter from that elder. I really have been on my knees constantly to seek his help and actually the other day, I read an article in the Liahona by Elder Marvin A. Ashton who wrote an article about being charitable to all even though it does get hard to be able to do those things, especially forgiveness. From that talk I have gained a more broad outlook on this subject. It is hard to forgive and forget, but I have been able to do it and apply it my life. It is going to be hard to forget this also, but I know I'll be blessed for it!!

Anyways sad to hear about the Neus family, but it is good to hear that they are still going even though they kinda already knew that it was coming. It does make us thankful for the Plan of Salvation in our lives. Send them love from me really think it can help them at this time. Will also keep them in my prayers. Love that family and thankful for them know them very well, they were very good to me when I was a young boy. Always need to remember that the Lord is on our side always and that anything that ever happens is for our own good we need to always remember that. Good to also hear that Hunter is going on a mission and his Dad at least got to see that before he died!Where is he going anyway? So also with everything we need to always to remember to be our brother's keeper it has been a big thing is that we need to always help our brothers and sisters that have strayed from the path. I always feel that is one of the number one things we need to stress in the church. It so important that we be our brother's keeper and do our best to help them come back to the path. If there is anyone that we know that has strayed from the path we need to be there and help them!! For this church is a eternal church not just until we feel like it is time to stop. When we joined the church we need to be here forever. Just like what Jeffrey R. Holland said "When I called you as a missionary it was FOREVER" This is an excerpt from the book of John in chapter 22 when Peter is again called to feed the Lord's sheep. We can also use this as follows "When you were baptized you promised to follow me forever". We need to stress this it is so important. With everything that I have seen in these last 22 months in the Philippines it needs to be stressed. Thank you all for everything and miss you all tons remember, I have done any good today?? Love you all!!!

Hey Everybody,

So this has been a crazy week yea if we all understand it has been going so very well in the area we have had a lot of good things happen to where we are going to always have all that we need to be happy. My companion is amazing we get along even though there is only 2 of us in the house. Overall everything is going so good we are really focusing on our teaching with members in the area. With everything that has been happening these last couple of weeks I think everything is going to be alright. Lots of crazy things also happened. Overall the work is amazing and we love life so that is what is important. Also the members are amazing they help so much with everything in the work everything. Anyways lots of stuff has been happening yes found out from Elder Stallings that his sister is getting married the week Addy is so yea we had a good laugh about that!! Also the missionaries that I know are really doing their best to continue on. I'm so happy to finally have a camera again so happy about that. Anyways not lots to write about just this week was amazing and we have a lot of prospective people to be advanced in the Melchizedek Priesthood and lots of investigators that will continue on to progress towards baptism. It is so amazing to be able to see the progression in the area. We will see how a new week goes. Love you all so much and miss you tons!!!

Hey Dear Wonderful Mother of Mine,

Hey everybody, that is so amazing, that Elder Fuiava is in your ward I actually was very surprised to that he is our ward now, really think that is awesome.( an elder from Samoa that met Elder Thompson in the MTC and Jordan shared with him all the the info on Mesa, AZ to him.  He has been apparently asking every Thompson he meets if they were Elder Thompson's family and he finally found us)  Also good to hear that Ed is already preparing for a mission, that is so awesome. Is he her fellow shipper?? That is so cool that he is helping someone come onto Christ, that is definitely something that he will enjoy doing as a person and as a member of the church. Wow I wish that I was there at Delia's farewell, uhhh, that is so awesome that she is going to serve the Lord, that is honestly the coolest thing that anyone could possibly do with their lives as members. Really had an amazing first week with my new companion, Elder Sanico, from Palompo, Leyte, who is now my 15th companion in the mission and honestly hope that he is the one that is also my last one as well. Who knows I kinda doubt it, though since I don't think that I'll end my mission in this area, I wouldn't mind that now since the area is going so well. Really think that me and Elder Sanico really are going to get along well he is: obedient, diligent and a lover of basketball. Yea we are going to get along very well I think. Anyways what Delia said is so true, the Lord really does mold us and shape us, we just need to let him. Question is are we willing to let him shape us?? That is my question to you all at this time, are you willing to let the Lord shape you and mold you. Also are we willing to stand and help those that are in need as we continue to do our best to be a missionary not just a person. We are all missionaries as said by President David O. McKay. Anyways the work is going to go so well I know it!! We actually had one of the members in our ward that has been working lately with us called to be the Ward Mission Leader at only 19 years old, he is so awesome. I think he is going to be such a great help with the work. Anyways everything is going to amazing with the work. I think that everything is going to go very well. Love you all so much and I really am trying my best to be obedient it is very hard especially with how close i am going home, but I know that I can manage and always do my best to be an effective advocate of the truth. Really do think that the mission really has changed me and helped me in so many ways. Love you all and good luck with everything

Dear Wonderful Mother of Mine,

Hey everybody, another great and marvelous week again. Had a great interview with President DeLaMare since it is also going to be the last one that I'll have. Since he goes home this coming transfer. He is really an awesome/ spiritual giant, that has definitely helped me so much in my mission. We had a great zone interviews as well as district meeting earlier. Found out that all the missionaries in my house except for me are transferring, yep the other elders are getting whitewashed, and my companion, Elder Hawkins are all transferring!! Yep so I'll be introducing the new elders in the area, since its an open area!! Anyways really excited for what is going to happen in this area, really think that next transfer, is going to be an amazing transfer. Even though the area is definitely the hardest area in the mission, we can definitely do it. I know this area can be so much better, I have seen it and know that as long as we work our hardest, we will be blessed and continue to be able to touch many hearts in the area, and ward!!

So yes that means I'm staying another a transfer, really don't know if this is where I'm going to end my mission, really don't know if I do whatever if not OK still with that. My release date is still August 15th this transfer we will get our travel plans to go home, not really looking forward to that!! Anyways, really think that this coming transfer will be amazing!! Really hope Grandpa is doing OK, that is a very serious condition, how do I know I asked an elder I know that is a nurse what that was and he described to me, that is very scary. I'll constantly keep him in my prayers. Fathers and Sons, they still go to Preacher Canyon or as Dad calls it the DUSTBOWL!!, just wondering!! Don't worry about the wedding being the same week as me coming home, really don't think that is going to be a problem, I'll gladly share with Addy again, it is also a very special day for her as well, so why not. I don't see any problems with this at all. I'll just think of it as a moment from the RM that I'll be able to experience, but I promise I'll do my home teaching beforehand, so that I don't get picked up by a drunk friend then land in prison. haahaha. Send Grandpa my love, really love that man to death, and sieympre Grandma as well. Love you all so much, a lot of stuff is going on in my area, first off we had a baptism, last Saturday, really awesome service, really special for my companion, it was his first baptism and he was able to baptize her. Marie Tubio Balauro is her name, she is amazing, her husband is working in Pampanga, right now so they are separate, she is living with her 2 kids in a house that she works for. Yes she is a housemaid, but so amazing!!! This week we just had nothing, but problems with her baptism continue. First the other housemaid that was supposed to look after the nanay(mother) that she takes care of (who is confined to a wheelchair), just so happened to quit her job and go home to Bulacan, sad she also had a baptismal date, sad story, then we just couldn't have anyone look after her, since no one in the house all the time other than them 3. We taught her a lesson on Trusting in the Lord, we used Proverb 3:5-6 (Mom's favorite right??) as well as Mosiah don't remember, but I just opened my scriptures and found a scripture in Mosiah and felt prompted to share it!! Was a great lesson, she committed to continue to pray and ask the Lord for assistance. We then proceeded to our WML who wasn't home, but we called him he told us to go to our Bishop, so then we go our Bishop and ask him if there is anyone that he knows who can take care of the nanay(mother) for the time of the baptism. He had one, we were amazed how quickly it happened. We then went back to her house and told her, she said, she hadn't eaten she was already fasting we hadn't even taught her fasting yet!! She is amazing and yes it was a miracle that she was baptized!! Great experience for to end the transfer!! Love you all so much!! See you next week!!!

Hey Wonderful Mother of Mine,

Thank you for the great skype conversation yesterday even though it was kind of hard for us to talk with each other. Really appreciated it, really had a good time to talk with you. Really happy about it. I'm not going to get trunky Mom i think your going to get more trunky than I will ever get. Anyways loved every moment of the talk and really appreciated the fact that I got to talk to Nana and Papa really thought that as a treat. It was awesome as well as just get to talk with Blaine. Really excited for him he is a great guy and I know he will treat my sister right. How do I know well first off he is a RM so that says it all. Anyways really have been enjoying my mission and really just enduring right now with everything. It has been a very hard transfer probably the hardest that I have ever experienced in my whole mission. Just so you guys know I don't know what is going to happen this next transfer, but I know it is going to be crazy. Tomorrow I have interviews with President DeLaMare and really excited to know of what will happen in these next last 2 transfers. Whatever happens I will tell you in the next email. Love you all so much and keep going the Lord loves us!!! Love you all so much and miss you all.

Hey lahat kayo kumusta??(How are you all?)

This was a very memorable week, I have really been enjoying my companion, this week, we had one of the most memorable companionship inventories in my whole mission. My companion has been having such a hard time with this area and this week we had big breakthrough in our area, a lot of new investigators faces coming to our lives as well as a lot of great progression, especially with one of our investigators, Marie, who by the way has now come to church for what 3 times now in a row, she is so progressing, I remember when we taught her Word of Wisdom, she had a problem with coffee, then what happens when we ask her to start living the Word of Wisdom, she accepts and starts living it and hasn't drank any coffee for a long time. She is literally one of those people that the Lord really has put in our paths to really help and guide towards being a member of this church. She is just a carrier of the Spirit, she just always so prone to feeling the Spirit testify through us. It has been so amazing teaching her she is so amazing. Also have a lot of great contacts that we can definitely contact within the week here, so excited to be able to see the progression that I have seen in the area since I first got here. It has been amazing!!

Also seems like we will be calling on Sunday Saturday night for you guys so about 12:00 in afternoon here so about I don't know what time there, but I will do it about that time so really excited to talk with you all as well seems you guys are all having an amazing time together. Especially with everything that has been going on. Really excited for all this stuff. Glad to hear that Ed actually goes home teaching with Brother Lao, really want to also do that with him when I get home. Even though I'll probably be with Dad anyways. That's OK for it to be on the 25th that is totally fine with me, really wish I could do it before hand, but it's OK really excited for everything. I love you all so much .I just find it very funny that Ed and Noah doing the La Bamba hahaha I can just imagine that hahahaha!! Miss that ward really do, by the way have been working on my basketball skills so make sure that you tell Brother Perez, really miss everything, but I still have a long time before I can even think about that kind of stuff. Really ridiculous to think that even my mission president, President DeLaMare, will go home next transfer, I'll have the new mission president for like only one transfer and then go myself. So ridiculous. Time just flies when you are doing the Lord's work it is so amazing. Can't really complain, for all the hardships I have had since I know now that it has all been for my good and well being!! I love being a missionary no other thing I would rather be doing really it isn't. Really loved all of my companions, no matter how hard it was for me to be with them. As well as just all the discouragements. I love doing this because this is my passion and I will continue to always want preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love being a servant of the Lord and wish all the best love you all so much as King Benjamin said in Mosiah 2:17 "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God" Keep going everyone to spread the gospel like what Daniel the prophet like a "stone cut out of the mountain without hands" (Daniel 2:44-45) Love you all and miss you all see you on Skype on Saturday or Sunday my time!!

Hey everybody!!

Mga minamahal kong kapatid (My beloved brethren)so this was another amazing week for me and Elder Hawkins, we had a lot of good things happen this week like us finding a whole subdivision, that no one in this area have ever seem. So our plan is to go finding in that area and definitely see what we can get when we do it!! Also we have a very good progression in the area, really liked this week!! One of our baptismal dates, Marie, has come to church 2 times in a row and has been keeping the Word of Wisdom, she really understands our message we teach her and also she always reads the Book of Mormon, and believes it to be true. She believes the Church to be true and she always participates in all our lessons. Really think she is such a golden investigator. She always keeps our commitments and now also has a very good fellow shipper. So we just continue to pray that she will continue to progress towards baptism and eventually reach those waters. So yea that is the area in summary.

This is going to be a great week I can already feel looks like Preston is the first one to go, I actually thought it would be Tanner, but it looks like him, did Tanner extend?? For sure my leave date is August 15th, but lets not worry about that since that is still a far time away still. Right?? We can look forward to the other 3 going to home, but me no cause I still have a long time left, to be masipag(energetic)!! Anyways is it true Preston and Holden are companions in the mission?? That is so cool!! Haley went on a mission?? Wow that is awesome, that sounds like she is going to have such a great time doing that, she is going to love life in Argentina, so Lucero is also gone that's crazy who will I be able to see when I get home?? Whats going on here!! So the 2 loved the letter sounds like I will be writing them more now!! Also hopefully will get the card before next transfer day!! Anyways just let me know about all those things, this week will be working with one of the elders in my district, Elder Caballero, who goes home next transfer, then the very next day will be working with one of the zone leaders, Elder Basalo, yep my old 9th companion, hahaha it sounds like I just always seem to get old companions as zone leaders I think that is just hilarious!! Anyways wish my luck this week, we are really going to have a very busy week. The number one thing that I have wanted to say in this letter is this HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! Anyways the work is amazing and we are enjoying ourselves to the best, we had a thing this last week were we did a community service project, and actually got to see a lot of members in my 4th area, Quezon City 1st Ward. A lot of them less-actives that I was able to teach when I was assigned there. Also got told both Romela and Elsa were not there, because they were at the Stake Youth Conference, so yea they still really active and actually now work with the missionaries!! WAHOO love hearing about the fruit of my labors, really love being missionary that is definitely keeps me going!! Also today had a very good district meeting about on being a successful missionary. Great workshop!! Really felt the Spirit testify to those missionaries that what we taught them were true!! Anyways I love being a district leader, it is such a great opportunity to work and mingle with you district. A great opportunity to also serve!! It's amazing!! Love everything I do as a missionary for Jesus Christ!! Love you all miss you tons!! (For whoso the Lord loveth, he correcteth: Proverbs 3:10-11) Love you all and can't wait to talk with you all on May 12 just let me know what you want to do love you all!!!

April 20, 2013
Hey everybody!!

So this has been a very different week for me and all that has happened!! So the things that have happened first and foremost, I have transferred back to Quezon City as a District leader yep still a district leader, and I am now back in my 2nd area Quezon City 4th so yep I went back to an old area!! I was very surprised about all this really was I was so surprised!! Anyways my new companion is Elder Hawkins from Riverton, Utah he is pretty cool and hasn't been out that long, but long enough to know!! So yea I'm going Round 2 in my second and now my sixth area!!! Also yea we are really going to need all that we can get from you guys really going to need all of your guy's prayers!! Anyways Conference was amazing really enjoyed everything, but my number one favorite talk would definitely be the talk by President Monson about missionaries applying what we call, Doctrine and Covenants 4 where we need to apply the things in those verses especially in the attributes that we need to receive in our lives as missionaries!! Anyways you can send the card really don't see any problems with that being sent!!! Also we have another problem  I am now officially out of a camera, yep I lost another camera, I honestly think that I feel so stupid to have broke another one honestly I feel so dumb, but the thing is I broke it doing my responsibility as a district leader helping the sisters with their bags to transfer day. Anyways love you all a ton and cant wait for next week love you all!!
